Wheels replacement

Changing wheels differs from regular tire service in that you have a set of tires on rims ready to be installed on your car. In this case, the tires do not need to be removed/installed on the wheels.

Wheel balancing

Balancing wheels ensures the most even wheel torque. Wheel balancing will ensure a smooth ride, extend the life of the wheels and reduce the risk of an accident. The frequency of wheel balancing depends on the mileage and type of vehicle. You should also have your wheels balanced if you have new tires on your car or truck. Lack of balance can result in reduced steering control, causing potentially dangerous situations. Wheel balancing is performed using specialized machines. Most cars should be balanced once or twice a year.

Wheel balancing is required when replacing tires and is included in the cost of the following Pit-STOP services:

Wheel alignment

Camber is the amount of inclination between the top of the tires and the point of their contact with the road, the angle of inclination of the car's wheels. When the distance between the upper and lower parts of the wheels on the same axle is the same, we speak of zero camber. It is in this situation that minimal tire wear is guaranteed.

Toe is the angle between the plane of rotation of the wheel and the longitudinal section of the car. Incorrect alignment has a much greater impact on tire wear than incorrect camber.

How often a wheel alignment needs to be done depends on the age of the car and operating conditions, basically, if the car is more than 5 years old, then every 1-2 years. Every time you change tires on different wide rims of different sizes. It is also necessary to do an alignment every time after the car suspension has been repaired.

The service is provided as an additional paid option when ordering tire service or wheel change services.

Wheel washing

We offer two types of washing: machine washing (quick washing when changing wheels) and manual washing with chemicals (the process takes several days, using special chemicals LiquiMoly and manual cleaning). Wheel rims need to be washed to maintain their appearance and prevent corrosion. This is also important to protect your tires from damage caused by dirt and grime accumulating on the outside of the rims. Abrasive materials can wear down tires over time, resulting in accelerated wear or even cracks and damage that cannot be repaired if left untreated for an extended period of time.
